12 Jun Olivier Rustin created costumes for the Opera in Paris
A few months ago media announced that Olivier Rustin, the creative direction of Balmain, will cooperate with Opera in Paris in order to create new collection.
Finally, fans of the ballet and Rustin saw the first shots of costumes for the “Revival”. In addition, designer generously shared the photographs on Instagram.
To begin with, the designer kept the collection in traditional luxury style. Demonstrated jackets and tights were decorated with beads, sequins and pearls, while leotards for ballerinas – were accessorised with crystals.
For the Opera in Paris the cooperation with famous designers is not the first experience. Earlier, Coco Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Lacroix, Carl Lagerfeld and Ricardo Tishi were working on costumes for the ballet.
