What a time to be alive! Beyonce, also known as The Queen will be on the cover of Vogue’s September edition. This was revealed in a report by Huffington post. Vogue’s September issues are usually the biggest of the year. This edition, even more so as it is rumoured to be Vogue Editor-In-Chief, Anna Wintour’s last edition.

Beyonce has been given full control of the edition. The publication is contractually obligated to give her full control over the cover, the photos of her inside the magazine and the captions. Using this power, Beyonce chose 23 year old, Tyler Mitchell  for the photography. This is the first black photographer to shoot a cover in the publication’s 126-year history

Speaking to Huffpo, a source said “The reason a 23-year-old black photographer is photographing Beyoncé for the cover of Vogue is because Beyoncé used her power and influence to get him that assignment.”

The last time Beyoncé was on the cover of Vogue’s September issue was in 2015, when she was shot by Mario Testino and styled by Tonne Goodman. The edition made waves because Beyonce did not grant a sit-down interview for the issue. According to reports, she will not be granting a sit-down interview for this edition as well.

Whatever it is, we are certain this Issue will definitely be one to remember.
