Hot on the heels of her collaborations that have become favorites, award-winning rapper Cardi B releases her first solo single of the year titled Press.

Produced by Key Wade and Slade Da Monsta, the heavy trap song is full of expletives and repetitive melodies. In typical Cardi B fashion, the track is replete with the promise of violence, murder and  diss for cyber bullies and defamatory media blogs that have crossed paths with the rapper in recent times.

Cardi has been teasing fans about this hot new single for months now with snippets on her Instagram. Late in 2018, after a fallout with her rapper husband Offset, rumours suggested that their very public breakup could have been a publicity stunt to get more press and also to promote Offset’s upcoming album at the time. This is the long-awaited response from Cardi and it is indeed a mouthful.

Grammy-Award winning Cardi B has had quite an eventful year. Still basking in the success of her debut album Invasion of Privacy from last year, she has featured in quite a number of wave-making collaborations this year; Bruno MarsPlease Me, remixed Blueface’s breakout hit  Thotiana and made a guest appearance on DJ Khaled’s recent track Wish Wish with 21 Savage. There is no doubt that the new single, which is assumed to have been cut right from her upcoming second album, will climb rapidly up the charts like other hits from the Bronx rapper. Released on Friday, 31st May as promised with racy photos to boot(like we’d expect any less from Cardi B), Press is out now and available for download on all platforms.
