While Carol Lim and Humberto Leon of Kenzo and H&M are set to reveal their collaboration on October 19 and in 250 H&M stores around the world on November 3, they share images of the women’s offering here first.
The Kenzo x H&M lookbook stars a motley across-the -board cast. In addition to models, some of the notables you’ll see include Rapper & songwriter Ingrid Burley, artist and DJ Juliana Huxtable, activist writer Amy Sall, photographer Youngjun Koo, makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench, and musician Anna of the North. “They’re people we admire, icons in their own fields, people who are influential beyond their fashion sensibility,” Leon told Vogue.com this summer. As for the offering itself, it’s a fusion of Kenzo old and Kenzo new. Kenzo’s signature quirky prints and bold color combinations take the spotlight. From sweatshirts to casual tees to dresses and jackets, there are an impressive number of pieces. For accessories, Kenzo and H&M offers long gloves with the Kenzo logo or printed hats. For footwear, thong style sandals and sock boots are available. “The idea is to celebrate where Kenzo Takada began and where we’ve taken it—not only the archive of what he did but what we’ve worked on,” Leon continued. “We’re taking a look at how the two can merge in a true conversation.” Leon added
