L’Oréal Paris Reveals Its New Face

Beauty marques are all for diversity and inclusion these days. L’Oréal, has stealthily been towing this line. Last month, the french cosmetics company revealed a new campaign that  harped on diversity featuring the likes of trans model Hari Nef, Chinese model Xiao Wen Jun, and curve model Sabina Karlsson. The brand has just added another face to its distinctive rota, choosing dove-eyed Angolan beauty, Maria Borges as its new spokesperson.

Maria Borges made headlines in 2015 as she was the first model to ever walk the annually held Victoria’s Secret fashion show with natural hair and is now officially fronting in series of new campaigns for L’Oréal Paris. Borges’ entrée came soon after some collaborations with L’Oréal Paris in a few Ad slots, including the brand’s Hydra Genius serum and Infallible Lip Paint. With the announcement, her role has now be affirmed.

“I believe in the beauty of diversity and the empowering message that a girl who started from the bottom can be an international beauty symbol and be living proof that our dreams are valid, and the future ahead of us is bright,” remarked Borges in a press release.

It is certain that the beauty sector is gradually taking a turn for good with its increase in the promotion of inclusivity.
