2018 has been a symphony! And now, we bring you the list of top albums you definitely do not want to miss out of in 2019. World music has experienced a revolution that has suddenly made the world much smaller. Songs across the world have been cross-referenced in genres, sounds, rhythm, and dance to bring a whole new vibe to what music means right now. 2018 began on really high notes and the way it looks, next year is set to keep up the tempo. The new year will bring a lot of much-anticipated follow-ups( Invasion of Privacy, Sweetener), revamps of the old (Avril Lavigne, Backstreet Boys) and a visit from our evergreen favorites (Asa, Rihanna).

Ariana has had the most interesting year. While it’s not been all rosy, the impressive young diva has managed to channel her whirlwind of experiences into great music. Having enjoyed a massive reception on the release of Sweetener, Grande is set to release another album by next year. The album is supposed to be a sequel to the Sweetener album and is to be titled “Thank U, Next” after her much-talked-about single of the same title.

After a scary battle with Lyme disease, among other things, Avril is set to release her sixth studio album in the coming year.  Coming after a five-year hiatus, we are looking forward to more than just tunes from the talented singer. Titled “Head Above Water”, the album is already available for pre-order and is expected to drop anytime from now.

Nigerian French singer Asa is a favorite in her home country and her classic songs are just as timeless as her creative style. After an incredible performance at a social event earlier this month, Asa has announced her upcoming album slated for release next year as well as a tour in the same year. Her last album was Bed of Stone, released in 2014.

These O.Gs are bringing back the 90s come next year and we’re totally here for it. Their album titled “DNA” drops on January 25th, 2019 and will be followed by a world tour much later in May.

She doesn’t need much of an introduction. She’s Rihanna and everything she touches is gold. After proving her mettle as a businesswoman with her inclusive lingerie enterprise among other things, Rihanna is set to follow 2016’s “ANTI” up with not one but, two albums in 2019.

Versatile favorite and global star Lana Del Ray is set to go country with her new album “NORMAN FUCKING ROCKWELL”. Always experimenting with various genres and styles, Lana has given us a taste of what to expect and the rare reviews are in. Her album is set to be released in March 2019.

Always one to wear his heart on a sleeve, Canadian crooner The Weekend is set to launch another tell-it-all-album. Last year, he released a playlist called My Dear Melancholy detailing his relationship with Selena Gomez. The new album titled “CHAPTER 6” is coming in 2019 and all bets are on epic love ballads about his romance and Bella Hadid.

New sensation Dua Lipa will release her second album in 2019 and that is something to be on the lookout for. Already titled “TBD”, the pop singer has said that she has been exploring old tunes by Prince and Outkast for new inspiration for the anticipated album.
